Confluence Personal Labels Tip – Bookmark Toolbar

Using personal labels in Confluence is just one of the many ways you can organize your content. For those of you not familiar with labels, think of them as folders where content can live in multiple folders, without physically being duplicated. Having a quick way to access this list can really speed up the way you use the wiki and make you more efficient.

The following steps can be repeated in either IE7 or Firefox3. (The following screenshots will be from Firefox.)

  1. Label content that you want to organize with personal labels:

    my:your_personal_label
  2. Once you are done labeling your content, navigate to your personal labels page.
    labels1
  3. Drag the tab from the page up to the BookMarks Toolbar
    labels2
  4. Now whenever you want to get to your personal labels, they are just a short click away.
